Hi,

No they weren't in under the 12:00hrs. wire but they have fielded some plausible excuses so:

In default of UKFirstParty saying or doing anything of much sense, in fact anything at all after a ridiculously ill planned, ill timed and ill presented launch all too redollent of the launch of one of those great ships in the 1920s in cartoons, where the champpers was duelly smashed and the ship majestically slid down the slip way to glide slowly out of sight below the briney leaving a diminishing flattulence of bubbles.

There you have it - The UKFirstParty launch.

After so many months of knowing it was coming I was disapointed but knowing the protagonists not entirely surprised!

It went from bad to worse - such that having warned Lawson through a friend that there was damaging material in the public domain it seemed his arrogance and hubris knew no bounds. Finally rather than see friends link their reputation to this man I was left with no honourable alternative but to publish the material.

Finally after several damaging weeks Lawson has seen fit to try to clear his name - sadly he lacks the wit or good grace to do so with overly much competence and with less manners or consideration for those whom he has damaged.

The gauche appologia was in the public domain - I had hoped that in the interest of the party and others he would set aside his strutting pride and try simple mannered communication but clearly his ego comes before the party and he chooses to display his utter lack of political competence or simple good education once more.

Eventually I passed the copy I had been sent on to Junius and still waited - more in hope than expectation.

I have been approached by one of my numerous contacts in UKFP and have been asked to post the following information:

"Bruce Lawson, former National Treasurer, confirms that he never handled any Ind/Dem money during his tenure as UKIP National Treasurer between May 2006 and October 2007.

At least he turns up for business meetings unlike others!

The Welsh Assembly* election expenditure of £160,997 (although badly over budget) was transparently accounted for ”.

He has made this statement to refute the allegations made on the internet.

Both Robin Page and Petrina Holdsworth are happy to accept his statement regarding his time as Treasurer and are liasing with him as a member of the UKFP Steering Committee.

Bruce Lawson is a very energetic and useful member of that committee.

Sadly if this is going to be the standard of Press Release from UKFirstParty then I feel that although I would wish otherwise I see little future for it - clearly Lawson may be a good bean counter with a willingness to jump through his employers hoops but politician, negotiator and communicator he aint!!

sadly the pomposity of the 'Pronouncement' does make it read like aMandy Rice Davies moment!I am so pleased to note that Bruce Lawson considers the accounts to be OK!

I am considerably more impressed that Petrina Holdsworth & Robin Page are satisfied since I have spoken to both of them - though it is notable that Bruce Lawson clearly is too self important, which bodes ill for the Party, to actually deal direct, which leaves one with the fear that either he is not sufficiently professional to put the well being of the Party ahead of his ego or there is still something a bit 'odd' hidden in the 'Wood Pile'.

Later in the day after a good few further conversations with associates in the 'political' field I felt it was apposite to comment:

I gather Delboy has been dumped and Lawson has taken over doing the web site.One has to wonder what they thought Del would be able to achieve without experience or any track record - surely it was foolish to leave him with a job without supervision for 4 weeks with Lawson away on holiday.

They didn't even have a CV to go by to establish if he has ever done anything of that calibre or has ANY experience relevant to the job in hand.

Anyway I gather the web site will 'probably' be up and running by Monday.

Unfortunately the first tranche of cash has been paid over by Del so rather than have the courage to cut loose they are sticking with Mulberry at the moment.

More on my blog later as I want to give Lawson every opportunity to ensure I publish the accurate facts to help him and am not further forced to go on hear say.

I guess it depends on whether Lawson is thinking of himself or of the progress of UKFirstParty!Lets see!

I can only say, based on my own observations and direct contacts with Bruce Lawson that I am no more reassured by him on the strength of this statement of his and I would not trust the man further than I could kick him - However for the good of the Party and aware that Delboy having failed it seems to provide the required CV and having shown his ineptitude all too clearly is now no longer responsible for the web site I am happy to set aside my judgement.

I am assured by Petrina Holdsworth that she is happy with Lawson's explanation to her and I am happy to be led by that for his written explanation is lame in its every word.

Petrina Holdsworth has informed me that she WILL be standing as a candidate for UKFirstParty and thus from her lead I feel there is every probability that not only will a slate of candidates start to fill in the South East but the required minimum of £25,000 can be raised.

I understand that Robin Page has a few not inconsequential considerations to iron out but has every reasonable expectation of standing as the lead candidate in The Eastern region and it is probable that his No. 2 running mate will be an individual well known to most people in Britain, not so much as the Historian he is but the personality he presents - Keep guessing ;-) this could be a huge leap forward for UKFirstParty.

With these personalities in place I have every confidence the rest of the list in the Eastern Region can be filled with residents of that region, known in that region and funding can be established.

I believe with such candidates in place there is every reason to believe a greater level of competence and expertise can be attracted to the management team and a large thank you can be proffered to those who had the courage to launch this vessel as our new lifeboat to liberate us from the EU and its damaging taxes and destructive morays and laws.

I appreciate there are numerous other individuals considering standing in small groups or as individuals - may I commend to them that they rapidly make contact and considerr forming a slate of candidates in any Region where they are able to muster support and a fighting fund of £25,000.

There is no reason why in the time available, limited though it is, why UKFirstParty can not be built, grown and structured to take over the role that many of us had hoped would be fulfilled by UKIP prior to its corruption and burgeonning dishonesty as it increasingly went native and fed with such glee from the triughs on the gravy train with such determination to keep the gravy for the insiders at the cost of the party, trust and the electorate.

I understand that it is considered that through Del's inactivity with regard to web sites it is felt that for the moment UKFirstParty is committed to Mulberry for its web site - though costly! On these terms I understand Lawson has taken direct control and from what is largely a standing start he is promising a launch of the web site for Monday - let us hope there is no further slippage and I look forward to seeing the Beta rather earlier - minded that the 4 week delay will lead to increased expectations and a more critical audience.

Having few facts, less confidence and a catastrophic track record of failure to deliver and betrayal of the electorate we can be assured not of health competition from EUkip as our closest rival but of every dirty trick and exploitation, distortion and misrepresentation that they can muster as they see UKFirstParty as threatening to come between them and their feed troughs, which they hope to sink back into for another 5 years of wallowing in expenses with no notable achievements.

They WILL fight like rats in a corner - they ARE rats in a corner as many of you will have seen the moment they are challenged by facts and the revallation of the truth.

From my earlier Blogs on this subject where I was basing them on facts - on the strength of Petrina Holdsworth's assurances I am prepared to make the transition from factual accuracy and opinion backed by fact to something of a gamble to back UKFirstParty with Petrina Holdsworth as a declared Lead Candidate in the South East and the hope that Robin Page will be on board by Monday together with 'OUR MYSTERY CONTESTANT' ;-) and obviously others.

I also have high hopes that The East Midlands, The West Midlands, The South West and possibly Wales will be able to muster both the necessary troops and an adequate war chest to conjoin the fray!!

What is the exit and survival plan for these United Kingdoms to maximise on the many benefits of leaving The EU. It is the DUTY of our Politicians and Snivil Cervants to ensure the continuity, liberty and right to self determination of our peoples they have a DUTY to protect against crime and secure both our food and our border.

NONE of these DUTIES has a single British politician upheld for 40 years. They have drawn their incomes fraudulently and dishonesty.

Politicians are failing to tell the truth, but so are almost all wanabe Politicians, the MSM and Snivil Cervants.

The fact is that even if EVERY British MEP wanted change in The EU it would achieve NOTHING.

Every single British Politician, of EVERY Party, elected since before we joined the EUropean Common Market, has promised to change The EU's CAP - In 40 Years they have achieved absolutely NOTHING!

To try to put a value on OUR Freedom is as futile as floccipaucinihilipilification and as odious as the metissage of our societies, as we rummage in the ashes of our ancestors dreams, sacrifices and achievements, the flotsam of our hopes and the jetsam of our lives, consider the Country and Anglosphere which we leave our children and the future, with shame!
